This 9kg Refrigerant Recovery Cylinder is designed for the safe containment, transport, and disposal of recovered refrigerants during service and maintenance operations. Featuring a double valve, double port configuration with 1/4″ SAE MFL outlets, it allows for secure and flexible connection to standard HVAC service equipment.
Suitable for mixed refrigerants (excluding A2L types), the cylinder can also be used as a temporary receiver vessel during servicing work. It can be returned full or empty, providing maximum flexibility for engineers on site.
The package includes 9 months’ cylinder rental, along with refrigerant destruction, cleaning where required, and one‑way carriage, offering a straightforward and compliant disposal solution with no hidden processing charges.
To ensure compliance with transport legislation, Hazardous Waste Notes must be carried when transporting filled cylinders. Three copies are supplied with each cylinder, with additional downloadable forms available via the Data Sheets & Downloads section.
For safety, cylinders must not be overfilled. The recommended maximum fill weight is 80% of the original refrigerant capacity stamped on the cylinder neck, and overfilled cylinders will be refused for collection. The tare weight is stamped on the cylinder to assist with accurate filling.
When used as a receiver cylinder, excessive heat must not be applied to remove refrigerant. Only approved heating devices should be used, with a maximum cylinder temperature of 35°C. Cylinders showing signs of overheating or misuse may incur additional charges.
If the cylinder is not returned within the 9‑month rental period, a lost cylinder charge will be automatically applied at the beginning of month 10.
Not suitable for use with A2L refrigerants such as R32.
