This 9kg A2L Refrigerant Recovery Cylinder is specifically designed for the safe containment, transport, and disposal of A2L refrigerants, including R32, during service and maintenance operations. Featuring a dual‑port valve configuration, it allows controlled recovery and transfer of both vapour and liquid refrigerants.
Unlike standard recovery cylinders, these units are fitted with a left‑hand thread valve, requiring the use of a compatible adaptor (GMRT32A) for connection to standard HVAC equipment. Where both liquid and vapour ports are used simultaneously, two adaptors will be required.
Suitable for use as both a recovery vessel and temporary receiver, the cylinder can be returned full or empty, providing flexibility for engineers working with modern A2L systems.
The package includes 9 months’ cylinder rental, along with refrigerant destruction, cleaning where required, and one‑way carriage, delivering a compliant and hassle‑free disposal solution.
To meet legal requirements, Hazardous Waste Notes must be carried when transporting cylinders containing refrigerant. Three copies are supplied with each cylinder, with additional downloadable forms available via the Data Sheets & Downloads section.
For safety, cylinders must not be overfilled. The recommended maximum fill level is 80% of the nominal refrigerant capacity stamped on the cylinder neck, and overfilled cylinders will not be accepted for collection. The tare weight is stamped on the cylinder to support accurate filling.
When used as a receiver cylinder, excessive heat must not be applied to assist refrigerant removal. Only approved cylinder heating devices should be used, with a maximum cylinder temperature of 35°C. Cylinders showing signs of overheating or misuse may incur additional charges.
If the cylinder is not returned within the 9‑month rental period, a lost cylinder charge will be applied at the beginning of month 10.
